Weapons of mass destruction are killing.

My intention was to raise awareness of the evils of war, so I immediately thought of the latest
news on children who tried fleeing their country but were washed on their shores.
My first thoughts on this assignment was to express shock and disapproval of war by combining
elements that seem innocent, like crayons, with a war weapon. I wanted it to be alarming,
so I made crayons drawing blood over a sheet of paper. My second thoughts were to draw the
blood over the Syrian flag to make known where it's happening.
